Our Vision, What we believe

  • That there is only one God, who is the Creator and Commander of the Universe, and God has existed since the beginning of all things.

  • In a Triune God; who exists as the Father in the Heavens, as the Son or the Word of God made flesh in Jesus, and as the Holy Spirit omnipresent.

  • God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten son Jesus as a propitiatory offering for all believers so that we shall have eternal life which comes through Jesus Christ.

  • Because of Jesus’ sacrificial offering on the cross, we became the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and we no longer live under the curse of the Law.

  • If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will shall be saved.

  • Jesus’ resurrection made it possible for us to be in a personal relationship with God the Father.

  • In the institution of marriage and God has sanctioned that union to occur between a man and woman.

Connect with us!

On this page you will find any upcoming events and various ways to connect with the church and other believers.

Water Baptism

If you’ve made a commitment to Christ, it’s time to take the next step and make your decision known. Baptism is the best way to express your faith and reflect your life change. Find out more about baptism by talking to Pastor Allen, or contact Deacon Holmes.

Serve

Serving others is one of the most effective ways to live out your faith. In a world focused on personal gain, there is perhaps no greater way to show others what a life devoted to Christ is about. Join one the Helps Ministries or the Outreach team today.

Giving

For Christians, tithing (a word meaning ‘tenth’) is great example of trust. Tithing is giving the first 10% of our income back to the local church. If you call SMJCC your home, we encourage you to give generously, knowing that your money is being used to support the mission of Jesus Christ – both in Baton Rouge, and around the world.

Prayer Request

The Lord is omnipresent—meaning He is in every aspect of our lives, whether in times of trouble or triumph (Psalms 139:7-10). Prayer is a belief that God can be petitioned to intervene in the laws of nature as well as a multitude of ways in the everyday lives of His people. Prayer is vital to the life of the believer.

Please complete the prayer request form and your prayer request will be delivered to our prayer team. We are here to share your burden and intercede on your behalf.
